Winter World University Games organised by the International University Sports Federation is the second largest sporting event after the Winter Olympic Games.  The 27th Winter World University Games host countries are Spain – Granada and Slovakia – Štrbské Pleso and Osrblie. In Slovakia the Winter Universiade events will take place from 24. 1. 2015 to 1. 2. 2015.
