Barbara Kantorová - student of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ recently scored at the World Winter Universiade in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she won a bronze medal in Super Combination. She also obtained the 5th place in the super-G slalom at this event.
Barbara Kantorová studies the study programme Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine, which is closely related to sport and movement in general. "It is quite difficult to follow the studies and do sports at a high level in the same time. I am doing well thanks to the willingness of the people at the university that and I am delighted that I have once again contributed to the successful representation of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ abroad," says Barbara. It was not her first success. She won the silver medal at the Universiade in the Italian Trentino in 2013 and scored at the Slovak University Championships in Vyšná Boca, where she won first place in the women's giant slalom.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD. is delighted of success of Barbara KANTOROVÁ in the sports field, not only as a representative of the faculty, but also as a passionate skier.
