SAFTRA Photonics, LLC, , was successful in the 9th call for projects in the EU H2020 in introducing new high-tech products onto international markets within the SME Instrument, micro- and macro-business.
It achieved a unique victory in the face of huge competition of European businesses and became historically the first Slovak business, which was able to achieve a break through with its innovative product and attractive business plan within its category in calls for projects within the H2020 framework.
SAFTRA Photonics succeeded thanks to its project of a mobile device with Nano-sensors for the identification of organic pollutants of water and food. The technology is based in a functional Nano-optical chip in the device, which is capable of fast and accurate detection of organic pollutants in food and water.
SAFTRA Photonics, LLC, was founded in 2014 by prof. Pavol Miškovský as a Start-Up of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice – a subsidiary of SAFTRA, LLC, which is owned exclusively by the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University.
