Professor Bačkor - research is focused mainly on stress physiology of plants and lichenology, the science of lichens. He is the author of more than 100 original scientific works on four different continents. He was a member of the Czechoslovak Antarctic expedition of the Masaryk University from the 27th of December, 2016. He spent 2 months studying the biology and ecology of lower plant life, mainly their resistance to the hostile climate conditions.
