FREE MOVERS - WELCOME TO UPJŠ
 

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ) offers international students who want to add an international dimension to their degrees the possibility to study and/or to do research at our university.

FREE MOVERS at UPJŠ are administered by the International Relations Office.

As a Free Mover you will have to arrange much of your stay at UPJŠ by yourself. The International Relations Office and the contact person at the faculty, institute or department, however, will assist you throughout the process.

Admission requirements for individual programmes and research stays are set independently by each faculty, institute or department. Admittance to study programmes and research stays is limited. Please note that the Faculty of Medicine does not accept any Free Movers.
 

Application procedure for Free Movers

1. Select the faculty, institute, department where you want to study or to do research. 
2. Contact the International Relations Office - Ing. Daniela Horniaková, e-mail: zahrodd@upjs.sk or daniela.horniakova@upjs.sk , tel.: +421 55 234 1679 who will provide you with further information.

Required documents for Free Movers application

• A fully completed Application Form and Learning Agreement
• A latest proof of registration at your home university
• An official transcript of records of your home university
• A curriculum vitae (résume)
• A photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
• Proficiency in English, Czech or Slovak
• Note that all documents should be in English. Incomplete applications will not be processed!

Deadlines for application

• 1st semester (term starting in September) 1 June 
• 2nd semester (term starting in February) 1 December
