On 27 September 2012 1st FOLKLOROVICA (note: folklore event) took place in the gymnasium premises at Šrobárova street. The event was opened by the art leader of the folklore ensemble Hornád, Mgr. Marianna Svoreňová, then she passed the word to the Vice-Rector for University Education and Information Technologies prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc. Dancing of Slovak traditional dances, school of singing, playing the folklore musical instruments as well as the ensemble’s program production previews and previews of performances preparations formed the programme of the interesting meeting of folklorists.
In the morning, the children folklore ensemble Hanička performed in the campus of the Rectorate. Children house of dancing (kids games and dances) encouraged talent of our children.
