- International Rectors‘ Conference in Prague
The rector of the university prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc. participated in the international rectors‘ conference held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic at the Charles University in Prague in October 24-25, 2018. The event carried the spirit of democracy, humanism and responsibility with the participation of 120 representatives of European universities in the Karolinum aula.

The rector of the university and the vice-president of the Slovak Rectors’ Conference were also present at the signing ceremony of the Joint Statement of the Czech Rectors’ Conference and the Slovak Rectors’ Conference on the Occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic. By doing so he joined the other top officials of the academic community in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic, who look at the memory of the founding of a common state with respect and with pride.
