Memorandum of Academic Cooperation with California Institute of Technology

On the 12 January 2012 the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Eugen Jurzyca (SDKÚ-DS), signed the memorandum of academic cooperation with California Institute of Technology during the video conference session. On behalf of the California Institute of technology, one of the most world-renowned universities, the memorandum was signed by professor Harvey B. Newman.

“Slovak universities have been co-operating with the California Institute of Technology for eight years. Both parties were interested in creating and signing the cooperation memorandum,“  the spokeswoman of the Ministry, Miriam Žiaková, stated for TASR. According to her the mutual collaboration will reach even higher level since the document was signed by the Minister himself.

Pavol Jozef  Šafárik University in Košice, as well as Technical Universities in Košice and Žilina have had co-operation with the California Institute of Technology. The UPJŠ EVO Developmental Team has been collaborating with the California Institute of Technology on the development of EVO.
