In accordance with Rector’s Award Statute the Rector’s award 2012 for significant contribution of teachers and scientific staff of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in the area of science and research has been awarded to:
- prof. RNDr. Peter Fedoročko, CSc., for excellent accomplishments achieved in the area of experimental oncology of mechanisms of intracellular signalization and for significant participation in creation of research infrastructure at Institute of Biology and Ecology of Faculty of Science at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.
- Dr. h. c. mult. prof. RNDr. Alexander Feher, DrSc., for excellent accomplishments achieved in the area of physical research of condensed matters at low temperatures.
- prof. PhDr. Vladimír Leško, CSc., for significant monographic work “Philosophy of the History of Philosophy (Strong and Weak Models)” which develops theory of history of philosophy.
