The Dutch professor S.A. (Menno) Reijneveld from the University Medical Centre in Groningen gave a lecture on the methods of assessing the quality of research of academic teams in the Historical Aula of the Rectorate of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in February 10, 2016. Prof. Reijneveld was received by the vice-rector for international relations and mobility doc. Ing. Silvia Ručinská, PhD. She stated that the professor’s visit to Slovakia takes place at a time, when the public intensively concentrates on the issue of education and its quality.
Prof. Reijneveld was also received by the rector of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc after his lecture. He emphasized the necessity of scientific work based on research. He also appreciated the possibility to receive a renowned Dutch professor on the grounds of one of Slovakia’s best universities and to learn about the possibilities of assessment of scientific work that can be applied within our university as well.
