President Andrej Kiska awarded state honours to 25 personalities on Monday, 1 January 2018, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Slovak Republic. The Ľudovít Štúr Order I. class was awarded to Alexander Bröstl for his exceptional merits for the development of democracy, for the protection of human rights and freedom, and for the development of the law.
