HBSC National Report: Updated information about Health and Behavior of School-aged Children

    The research team from the Institute of Health  Psychology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ  participated in the research of extensive study "Health Behaviour in School-aged Children" (HBSC), conducted by the Regional Office of the World Health Organization for Europe in 2013/2014, focusing on health research, lifestyle and risky behavior among primary school pupils aged 11, 13 and 15 years. International HBSC study report presented officially to the public on March 15, 2016 in Brussels brings current information about the health and behavior of school-aged children from more than 40 countries in Europe and North America

       "The international report summarizes and evaluates data from 219,460 school-aged children and the work was performed by more than 300 researchers. According to international report, we know how to Slovak pupils differ from their contemporaries in other countries and how it is changing their health and behaviors,"says Professor Andrea Madarasová Gecková, PhD., coordinator of the Slovak HBSC team and Head of the Department of Health Psychology, Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice
