The tenth course of Regional Anesthesia in Košice was organized by I. Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine UPJŠ and UNLP and Department of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ on the 13th-14th of September 2016. The main theme of the intensive two-day training event was nerve blocks of arms and legs and torso anesthesia through regional anesthesia.
The course was traditionally held at the Department of Anatomy, where doctors updated their skills and knowledge on the assistants and particularly on the cadavers. "The lecturers of the courses were top experts with practical foreign experience, including our former colleague ,Irish trainer and lecturer, MUDr. Peter Merjavý, PhD. EDRA CETC,“ says the Head of the I. Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine - Jozef Firment, M.D., PhD, Ass.Prof. , whose professional event aimed at training anesthesiologists with cooperation with the Department of Anatomy has already become a tradition and it is popular among doctors from all over Slovakia and also abroad.
