Students of study programme Dental Medicine at FM, UPJŠ organized unusual St. Nicholas event for children at departments of stomatology, FM UPJŠ and UNLP on the 6th – 7th of December 2016 . Every child who visited the Department of Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery on Tuesday and the 1st Department of Stomatology on Wednesday could attend a short briefing about teeth cleaning performed by the St. Nicholas, the devil and the angel who were performed by members of the Slovak Dental Students Association.
"For each child we have also prepared a special St. Nicholas package which do not destroy the teeth, but helps to clean them. Our main aim was to create a friendly atmosphere for children at departments of stomatology and explain to them that proper hygiene and oral care can prevent a tooth decay. The first year of this event was a great success with children and their parents and so we hope that a such event will become a tradition for both of the departments," said the student of 3rd year of the FM, UPJŠ- Miroslav Pažur.
