The graduation ceremonies took place in the Assembly hall of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJS on June 29 and June 30, 2017. There were the graduates of doctoral study programmes General Medicine and Dental Medicine and also graduates of Physiotherapy, Nursing Care and Public Health. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., emphasized in his ceremonial speech that the day of graduation ceremony is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful day in students’ lives and probably for most of them will remain the most memorable 29th or 30th June that they have lived through or they will live through.
"All of us who are sitting here today and enjoying your success, believe that you want to recover the health to people, the most worthy value in the life… Every doctor should be also a teacher, he has to teach his patient how to treat a disease or learn how to live with it at least. It's not just pills, injections, or top surgical performances. Use and spread your greatest power - the wisdom, which you have gained during your studies at our Alma mater. Use a good word, spread your education, so you can change this world for the better place again," appealed prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD to the freshly graduated doctors and paraphrased Albert Einstein (who presented his theory of relativity in late June) at the end of his speech - "Logic will take you from point A to point B. Imagination will take you everywhere, also to the correct diagnosis. Let your job to be also your pleasure and then your life will be happy too."
