The Slovak high school students took the opportunity to visit the oldest faculty of the Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice and learn something new in the medical field, but above all to get a lot of information about faculty and study in two medical and five non-medical study programmes.
The program started at the Assembly Hall at the MF, UPJŠ with the student anthem Gaudeamus igitur and the Vice-Dean MUDr. Silvia Timková, PhD, on behalf of the Dean prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella welcomed all guests. The Vice-Dean briefly introduced the faculty and study programmes General and Dental Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Public Health.
The applicants for study from different parts of Slovakia virtually passed through promovideo the various classrooms, laboratories and clinical departments in the healthcare facilities which approached them theoretical and practical teaching at the Faculty of Medicine, UPJS but also the city Košice.
The event continued with a presentation of student organizations operating at the Faculty of Medicine- Association of Medical Students in Košice and Slovak Dental Students Association and then the high school students went to the various lecture rooms, laboratories and practice rooms where a program illustrating the study at our faculty was prepared. Several students from the Ukraine were also interested in studying in the Slovak language.
