In the doctoral degree programme, we teach the subject of Neurology I and Neurology II in the degree programme of General Medicine in both Slovak and English languages, the subject of Neurology in the degree programme of Dentistry in both Slovak and English languages, and in the Bachelor Degree programme of Nursing and the degree programme of Physiotherapy. The course is intended to introduce students to the basic functioning of the nervous system, syndromology, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnostics, differential diagnostics, and treatment of neurological diseases. It focuses not only on theoretical knowledge, but also in particular on the practical ability of the graduate from the Faculty of Medicine to able to deliver an opinion on the patient with neurological disease.
We acquaint students with recent procedures employed in the diagnostics and treatment of neurological diseases, the current focus of the Department is listed in the section Department History and Present.
