Four students of the Department of Chemistry, František Mihók, Katka Sisáková, Natália Podrojková and Michal Varga, will take part on the international Spring School in the city of Jülich, Germany, from 29 March until 05 April 2017. They have an excellent opportunity to take part in lectures about topology and its many uses.
Excursions to renowned laboratories equipped with the latest technologies for the study of the effects of topology on material properties such as medical imaging of objects, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, dielectric spectroscopy and others as well as the supercomputer centre are part of the event. It is a great opportunity to acquire the latest information in the field of physical chemistry and surface physics, to expand their horizons and to be more competitive on the labour market.
The choosing of the students of the Faculty of Science of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice further proves the high standard of teaching of chemistry at the faculty and the importance of seeking an opportunity to study at the faculty for potential candidates. It is thanks to such renowned university research teams that our students are able to hold positions in renowned research centres abroad.
