International Conference on Magnetism – ICM is held every 3 years, attended by more than 2000 scientists from around the world. It is one of the most prominent international conferences devoted to presenting the newest scientific results of fundamental as well as applied research from all areas of magnetism.
The main topics of this year’s ICM were: (1) strongly correlated electron systems, (2) spin systems and magnetic structures, (3) spintronics, magnetization dynamics and micromagnetics, (4) nanomagnetics and (5) magnetic materials and technologies.
RNDr. Samuel Dobák, PhD. from the Institute of Physics at the P.J. Šafárik University in Košice was presented the Award for the best poster presented at the 21st International Conference on Magnetism ICM2018 (http://www.icm2018sf.org/), which was held in San Francisco, USA from 15th of July 2018 until 20th of July 2018.
The winning poster presented a contribution titled Magnetic Loss Decomposition in Non-Oriented Steels after Loss-Reducing Dynamic/Continuous Heat Processing, created by the staff of the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science, P.J. Šafárik University in Košice (RNDr. Samuel Dobák, PhD., doc. RNDr. Ján Füzer, PhD., prof. RNDr. Peter Kollár, DrSc.) in collaboration with the staff of the Institute of Materials Research at the Slovak Academy of Sciences (RNDr. František Kováč, CSc., Mgr. Ivan Petryshynets, PhD.).
