The Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice granted the honorary title doctor honoris causa in the field of law on Wednesday in 28.9.2016 to JUDr. Pavel Rychetsk\u00fd, a significant and outstanding person, who contributed to the development of democracy and humanity.<\/p>\n
The ceremonial meeting of the Scientific Board of the university was attended by the president of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic Ivetta Macejkov\u00e1, by president emeritus of the Slovak Republic Rudolf Schuster, by president emeritus of the Slovak Republic Ivan Ga\u0161parovi\u010d, by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic is Prague Peter Weiss, by the representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and of the Czech Republic, and by representatives of various Slovak and Czech universities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018I cannot imagine a greater honour than that, which I received from your respectable university today, whose origin I dare to determine to the mid-seventeenth century based on the history of university education in Ko\u0161ice. The importance of the honorary title from your university is underlined on the hand by the fact that a lot of excellent specialists work at this university and at the Faculty of Law including my dear colleagues and friends, and on the other hand by the fact that Ko\u0161ice is the seat of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, with which our Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic has an excellent long-term relationship.\u2019- JUDr. Pavel Richetsk\u00fd, the bearer of the honorary title doctor honoris causa, said in his acceptance speech.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
