Thanks to the support of the development project of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport\u00a0of the Slovak Republic\u00a0\u201cInternationalization, Interdisciplinarity and Innovation of Higher Education at the Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice\u201d and thanks to the support from the university\u2019s internal sources 54 PhD students of the university and 11 international and national lecturers attended the event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the professional program the participating PhD students presented the actual results of their scientific work. At the same time, two lectures by foreign experts and 9 plenary lectures by important scientific experts from our university were delivered. The participants had the opportunity to attend workshops on the topics \u201cCitizen Science, Political Science Discourse and Teamwork\u201d, \u201cPursuing Happiness\u201d and \u201cAcademic CV\u201d. The program of the event also included a panel discussion with the senior management of the university \u2013 with the Rector of the university: prof. RNDr. Pavol Sov\u00e1k, CSc., and with the Vice-Rectors: Assoc. Prof. Ing. Silvia Ru\u010dinsk\u00e1, PhD., Prof. Ing. M\u00e1ria Marekov\u00e1, CSc., Prof. MUDr. Pavol Jar\u010du\u0161ka, PhD., and Prof. RNDr. Peter Fedoro\u010dko, CSc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the Internationalised Spring School for PhD Students was to deepen the aspect of interdisciplinarity, mutual information sharing and raising the level of education of PhD students taking into account the international trends. The participants evaluated this year\u2018s spring school as successful, similarly to the previous years, since it served as an impulse to establish new working networks leading to the emergence of young interdisciplinary teams, and it also provided a platform for the exchange of experience between the PhD students involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The university\u2019s 6th Internationalised Spring School for PhD Students took place in Liptovsk\u00fd J\u00e1n on June 10-1 University 3, 2019.
