Among the awarded this year were several prominent figures of the Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice. The Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice received the award of the Mayor of Ko\u0161ice for the outstanding merits in the development of Slovak higher education and for its significant contribution to scientific activities and the development of the IT sector in Ko\u0161ice. The Rector of the university prof. RNDr. Pavol Sov\u00e1k, CSc. received the award of the City of Ko\u0161ice on the occasion of his life jubilee and for his significant contribution to the development of an excellent infrastructure for the scientific workplaces in Ko\u0161ice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award of the city of Ko\u0161ice was also granted to the Head of the Department of Neurology of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 prof. MUDr. Zuzana Gdovinov\u00e1, CSc., FESO, FEAN on the occasion of her life jubilee and for her significant contribution to medicine in the field of neurology and to JUDr. Jozef \u010corba, PhD., in memoriam for his extraordinary merits in the field of sports law and his voluntary\u00a0 activities in the field of administration and management of sports.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award of the mayor of Ko\u0161ice was also granted to the director of the Institute of Physics of the Faculty of Science, UPJ\u0160 Dr. h. c. prof. RNDr. Alexander Feher, DrSc. on the occasion of his life jubilee and for his significant scientific results in the study of physical properties of substances under extreme conditions and to the dean of the Faculty of Science prof.
