UPJ\u0160 Rector prof. RNDr. Pavol Sov\u00e1k, CSc. on Thursday, 9 February 2023 at 11 a.m. welcomed a special visit of representatives of the management of Deutsche Telekom AG at the premises of UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the large meeting room of the UPJ\u0160 Rectorate, the approximately 20-member delegation met with members of the UPJ\u0160 management – Rector, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Mobility, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Silvia Ru\u010dinsk\u00e1, PhD., and the Vice-Rector for Informatization and Quality Management, prof. RNDr. Gabriel Semani\u0161in, PhD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UPJ\u0160 management presented the history and current position of UPJ\u0160 in the academic space in Slovakia and abroad, the action plan for digital transformation at UPJ\u0160, the Race to Zero action plan, study programmes offered by the university, the university campus, areas of science and research and cooperation of UPJ\u0160 with Ko\u0161ice universities (TUKE and UVLF), the City of Ko\u0161ice, the Ko\u0161ice Self-Governing Region, the Ko\u0161ice Innovation Centre (ICKK), Ko\u0161ice institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, UNLP and industrial partners associated in the Cassovia Discovery Park within the Cassovia Cluster of New Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the past, UPJ\u0160 has already established close cooperation with T-Systems within the IT Academy – Education for the 21st Century project, at the level of outreach and educational events, student competitions, final theses, Career Day – an annual event designed to provide job opportunities for UPJ\u0160 students. Deutsche Telekom is also an active member of the Career Club of UPJ\u0160. The cooperation between UPJ\u0160 and T-Systems has a major impact on the region through the Ko\u0161ice IT Valley cluster.
