Tuan Trinh, Director of the EIT Digital Region East<\/a>, visited Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice. He learned about the projects and activities of UPJ\u0160 in the field of education, science and research in informatics and toured the laboratories of the Institute of Informatics, UPJ\u0160 Faculty of Science<\/a>, and UVP Technicom at UPJ\u0160<\/a>. He was particularly interested in Hack Ko\u0161ice 2023<\/a>, the DAM seminar<\/a> and other activities aimed at students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Pavol Miro\u0161\u0161ay, member of the Ko\u0161ice IT Valley<\/a> Board of Directors, and Gabriel Semani\u0161in, Vice-Rector for Informatization and Quality Management, they discussed tools that can make the study of informatics at UPJ\u0160 more attractive and prevent the outflow of talented students. During the meeting with the representatives of EDIH Cassovium<\/a>, of which UPJ\u0160 is a partner, he discussed with the members of the project board the cooperation within the pan-European network<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the visit he had a meeting with Rector Pavol Sov\u00e1k, Vice-Rector Gabriel Semani\u0161in and Dean of the Faculty of Science Roman Sot\u00e1k. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Innovation Centre of the Ko\u0161ice Region<\/a>, Peter Breyl.
