According to the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAV\u0160), the fact that the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) has recognised the assessment procedures and standards for Slovak medical faculties represents a significant achievement for the higher education system in Slovakia. It has thus confirmed that the quality of medical education in Slovakia also meets strict international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“For Slovak universities providing medical education, including the University of Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik in Ko\u0161ice, the decision of the WFME results in an increase in international reputation and competitiveness, because the degrees obtained by our graduates will be accepted by the medical community worldwide<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em>” responded the Rector of the UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice, prof. Daniel Pella, according to whom a higher interest in studying medicine in the Slovak Republic by both domestic and foreign students can be expected in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WFME<\/a> is a globally recognised organisation that focuses on promoting the quality of medical education at all levels and its recognition represents a prestigious mark of quality for accreditation agencies and their accredited universities providing medical education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As Robert Redhammer, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education, explained in a statement to the Slovak Press Agency, the recognition of the WFME’s assessment procedures by the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education represents a major milestone for the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education itself and confirms that its assessment processes and accreditation criteria are fully in line with the requirements in the field of medical education applied on a global scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" According to the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAV\u0160), the fact that the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) has recognised the assessment procedures and standards for Slovak medical faculties represents a significant achievement for the higher education system in Slovakia.
