Call for Applications for Postdoctoral Research Positions<\/strong> for the Academic Year 2025\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice announces a call for the postdoctoral research positions for the academic year 2025\/2026.
Applicant must have PhD, or its equivalent reached within the last 5 years (the period is calculated from September 30, 2025, and it does not include maternity and parental leave, civilian military service, military service and other objective obstacles to the professional practice). Minimum requirements set out in the call and topic must be met at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topics for the 2025\/2026 academic year: available <\/strong>here<\/strong><\/a>
Application deadline:<\/strong> June 30, 2025.
Selection procedure:<\/strong>\u00a0The candidates will be selected by a committee appointed by the Rector of the Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice, based on the assessment of the materials submitted by the candidates.
Results of the selection process:<\/strong> All applicants will be informed about the results of the selection procedure until August 15, 2025.
Expected fellowship start:<\/strong> October 2025.

Applicants for the position of postdoctoral researcher submit the following documents via online <\/strong>POSTDOC APPLICATION FORM<\/strong><\/a>: <\/u><\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. curriculum vitae,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. certified copies of second- and third-level university diplomas,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. overview of publication outputs registered in professional databases WoS, SCOPUS and ERIH+, including responses to published works; in the case of outputs that are not registered in the professional databases WoS, SCOPUS and ERIH+, copies thereof or copies of pages showing the authorship of the applicant are submitted when submitting the application and relevant bibliographic information is provided (title sheet of the publication, imprint, content, documentation on the review process, if reviewers are not mentioned in the publication), overview of patents, utility models, and other forms of intellectual property,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. overview of participation in implementing research projects and completed study stays abroad,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. overview of the most significant achievements and awards so far,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. two letters of recommendation from two professors, where only one of the professors may be from the applicant’s training site,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. a letter of acceptance from the host professor (the person who has the relevant competences and bears the main responsibility for the implementation, development and quality assurance of the programme of the third level of higher education) from the host workplace, issued on the basis of an interview with the candidate; only one letter of acceptance may be issued per research topic; in the letter of acceptance, the host professor must guarantee material and financial requirements for the implementation of the postdoctoral project,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. research project proposal during the proposed work at the given workplace (maximum 5 pages),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. confirmation of previous experience (if relevant),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. extract from the criminal record; this is submitted only by selected candidates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Evaluation Criteria for Assessing the Postdoctoral Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Timeliness and the scientific nature of aims and objectives, the scientific level and the quality of the project
    – Assess the scientific level of the project and the scientific nature of the methodologies used during the project implementation
    – Assess to what extent the project aims and objectives are clearly defined and feasible<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Original character of the project and conceptions of the project implementation assess the originality of the project<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. The structure of the project, the quality of preparation, the logical interconnection of the project procedures
    – Assess the clarity, the scientific level and the adequacy of the used methodology
    – Assess the project implementation from the time schedule point of view and from the point of view of the set objectives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Professional qualifications of the postdoctoral fellow
    – Assess the quality of the scientific outputs of the postdoctoral fellow
    – Assess the quality and the number of the implemented projects in which the postdoctoral fellow participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Recognitions and other experience, competences and knowledge relevant to the applicant’s scientific activity<\/p>\n\n\n\n
