On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, a graduation ceremony was held at Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice for graduates of the University of the Third Age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 130 graduates received their certificates of completion of the study in the Historical Hall of the UPJ\u0160 Rectorate in Ko\u0161ice, attended by the graduation committee headed by prof. MVDr. Monika Hal\u00e1nov\u00e1, PhD., Vice-Rector for Academic Qualifications and Doctoral Studies, Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Sl\u00e1vka Toma\u0161\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1, PhD., Vice-Rector for International Relations, doc. Ing. Silvia Ru\u010dinsk\u00e1, PhD., university professor, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, and doc. PaedDr. Ren\u00e1ta Orosov\u00e1, PhD., Vice-Rector for Interdisciplinary Education and Innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vice-Dean for Pedagogical Activities, doc. PhDr. Be\u00e1ta R\u00e1czov\u00e1, PhD., represented the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at UPJ\u0160, Vice-Dean for External Relations, doc. Mgr. Michal Gallay, PhD., represented the Dean of the Faculty of Science, and the Vice-Dean for Education, doc. JUDr. Simona Feren\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1, PhD., represented the Dean of the Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The invitation to the graduation ceremony was also accepted by the guarantors of study programs in the field of Digital Technologies in Everyday Life, Mgr. Eva Ru\u017ei\u010dkov\u00e1; in the field of Law, JUDr. Ivan Kundr\u00e1t, PhD.; in the field of Psychology, PhDr. Bibi\u00e1na Kov\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1 Holevov\u00e1, PhD.; in the field of English Language, Mgr. Zuzana Kola\u0159\u00edkov\u00e1, PhD., in the field of Medicine \u2013 Public Health, Prof. MVDr. Tatiana Kim\u00e1kov\u00e1, PhD., in the field of Plants in the Environment, prof. RNDr. Pavol M\u00e1rtonfi, PhD., in the field of The World Around Us, RNDr. Anna Alexovi\u010d Matia\u0161ov\u00e1, PhD. The director of the Center for Lifelong Learning and Project Support, doc. RNDr. Du\u0161an \u0160veda, CSc., also accepted the invitation to the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The graduation ceremony was also attended by family members, friends, and acquaintances of the graduates of the University of the Third Age, who enhanced the exceptional atmosphere of the entire event with their presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The graduates of the University of the Third Age are proof that education has no age limits. Their example can inspire not only their peers but younger generations as well. They underscore the value of education and show us that lifelong learning is meaningful and brings new perspectives, joy, and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
