On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the proceeds from UPJ\u0160 RUN were handed over at the Children’s University Hospital in Ko\u0161ice. A total of \u20ac3,435 was handed over to MUDr. Andrej Koman, MBA, the director, by the main organizers of the running race \u2013 Pavol Kopani\u010d\u00e1k and Dominika G\u00e9ciov\u00e1, students of the UPJ\u0160 Faculty of Law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sporting event with a charitable dimension was organized by the Cocktail Pace civil association. UPJ\u0160 RUN took place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with participation of almost 500 runners. All proceeds from the entry fees, together with the proceeds from a voluntary collection, were donated to the Ko\u0161ice Children’s Faculty Hospital, along with collected children’s games and toys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our daily efforts are dedicated to pediatric patients \u2013to not only help them medically, but to strive to improve the hospital environment and bring pleasant experiences to the patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The money provided by UPJ\u0160 students from the proceeds of the university run will help us brighten up Christmas for the children \u2013 and not only that. It will light up the screens in the waiting rooms of the busiest clinics of pediatric surgery, gastroenterology, and neurology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will replace non-functional televisions with new ones so that children can watch cartoons and make waiting for their examinations more pleasant. The remaining funds will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for hospitalized patients,” said Andrej Koman, MD, MBA, director of the Children’s University Hospital in Ko\u0161ice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director also expressed his gratitude to the students for their financial donation and appreciated their considerable efforts in organizing the demanding running race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
