The tradition of medicinal plant research was initiated by Professor Hon\u010dariv in 1978. The projects during the years 1978 and 1991 were aimed at research of medicinal plants as candidates for pharmaceutical industry. The earned knowledge and experience resulted later in numerous scientific projects and have become one of the pillars of the recent biomedical topic of the top team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The team leaders gained grants for 5 projects from the Slovak Research and Development Agency including Centre of Excellence, 4 projects of the same Agency aimed at development of human resources for doctoral students, postdocs and excellent supervisors,\u00a0 7 bilateral projects with Czech Republic, Bulgaria and China, 22 projects of the Scientific Grant Agency, 3 developmental projects aimed at renewal of research infrastructure, 4 projects from EU structural funds and one project with pharmaceutical company Imuna \u0160ari\u0161sk\u00e9 Micha\u013eany.<\/p>\n
