Its researchers have developed and significantly elaborated on the rich tradition of Czech and Slovak morphologists (Dokulil, Horeck\u00fd, Furd\u00edk, Buz\u00e1ssyov\u00e1 etc.). The top team\u2019s research results, pioneering in many respects, have been published in prestigious international publishing houses. They cover the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>General onomasiological theory of word-formation, <\/strong>mainly Stekauer 1998 (John Benjamins), Stekauer 2005b (In: Stekauer &#038; Lieber (eds.) <em>Handbook of Word-formation<\/em>, Springer).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Onomasiological theory of conversion<\/strong> (Stekauer 1996, Peter Lang Verlag).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theory of meaning predictability of novel complex words<\/strong> (Stekauer 2005a, John Benjamins).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Typological research into word-formation systems<\/strong> <strong>(<\/strong>Stekauer, Valera &#038; K\u00f6rtv\u00e9lyessy 2012, Cambridge University Press).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sociolinguistic aspects of complex-word formation and interpretation<\/strong> (Stekauer et al. 2005, K\u00f6rtv\u00e9lyessy 2010).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Integrated model of complex-word formation and interpretation<\/strong> (Stekauer 2016, In: ten Hacken (ed.) <em>The Semantics of Compounding<\/em>. Cambridge University Press).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> All these areas of research are based on clearly defined principles of an onomasiological theory. The top team research achievements have been published in a\u00a0number of monographs and research papers published by prestigious publishing houses and journals. An important part of the activities of the research team is their editorial work that has resulted in several highly influential handbooks. Furthermore, the team members participate in doctoral programs as supervisors, and publish the Erih+ <em>SKASE Journal of Theoretical Linguistics<\/em>. They have given lectures at a\u00a0number of universities in Europe as well as oversees.
