Assoc. Prof. A. Orend\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1<\/strong>, DrSc.<\/strong> studies exotic transitions in two-dimensional quantum magnetic structures based on Cu(II) ions, resulting from the interaction of both spin and spatial anisotropy and magnetic field. She also studies the topological excitations, the so-called quantum vortices, induced by the magnetic field, which can cause the Berezinski-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition (Fig. 2) [A. Orend\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1, et al. Phys. Rev.
