Only countries defined as “advanced emerging”, “secondary emerging” and “frontier” by the FTSE Group participate in THE Emerging Economies ranking. This ranking is based on the same indicators as THE WUR, but the weights of each indicator take into account the priorities of universities in emerging economies. The 13 indicators taken into account are divided into 5 categories: education, research, number and impact of citations, international cooperation and knowledge transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n
