For this purpose, the Horizon Europe programme and the Turing scheme are implemented instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Horizon Europe<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The UK encourages researchers and bussinessmen to form collaborative partnerships through the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Horizon Europe will provide a platform through which UK scientists and innovators can tackle significant and shared challenges in society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horizon Europe gives access to not only research funding but also cross-border networks and the EIT, supply chains for new products and global talent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Further information about Horizon Europe may be found at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/horizon-2020-what-it-is-and-how-to-apply-for-funding\">www.gov.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Erasmus+ and the Turing scheme<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Turing is a new international educational exchange scheme that has a global reach and increases social mobility.&nbsp;The Turing scheme will be backed by over \u00a3100 million, providing funding for around 35,000 students in universities, colleges and schools to go on placements and exchanges overseas, starting in September 2021.&nbsp;UK institutions will be able to bid into the scheme from early 2021, and are actively being encouraged to begin preparation with international partners as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further information about the Turing scheme may be found at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-turing-scheme-to-support-thousands-of-students-to-study-and-work-abroad\">www.gov.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Despite withdrawing its participation in the Erasmus+ programme, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland recognizes the importance and benefits of international exchange in education and training.
