{"id":92359,"date":"2025-06-17T10:32:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T08:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/?p=92359"},"modified":"2025-08-04T15:05:57","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T13:05:57","slug":"gender-challenges-in-academia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/en\/gender-challenges-in-academia\/","title":{"rendered":"Gender Challenges in Academia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear researchers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to invite proposals for the design and implementation of a&nbsp;<strong>20-minute online interactive game<\/strong>&nbsp;as part of the&nbsp;<strong>second day<\/strong>&nbsp;of the upcoming&nbsp;<strong>EURAXESS Contact Point \u2013 University of the Aegean Workshop<\/strong>, titled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cGender Challenges in Academia\u201d<\/strong><br>\ud83d\uddd3\ufe0f&nbsp;<strong>2\u20133 July 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;|&nbsp;\ud83d\udccd&nbsp;Online via Zoom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udd0d<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;About the Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This two-day online event brings together researchers, students, institutional actors, and equality bodies to explore the challenges, barriers, and future pathways for women in research and academic careers. The workshop promotes reflection and dialogue on gender equality, inclusion, and representation in science and academia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of&nbsp;<strong>Day 2 (3 July 2025)<\/strong>, we will host an&nbsp;<strong>interactive game session<\/strong>&nbsp;to open the floor for a&nbsp;<strong>round table discussion<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<em>gender, equality, and the generation gap<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfae<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Requirements for the Game&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite short proposals for the design of an interactive, engaging, and thought-provoking online game that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can be implemented via\u00a0<strong>Zoom<\/strong>, with the support of tools such as Mentimeter, Kahoot, Miro, or similar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a total duration of approximately\u00a0<strong>20 minutes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Includes interactive elements (e.g., quizzes, scenarios, dilemmas, simulations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sparks reflection on\u00a0<strong>gender equality, expression<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>intergenerational challenges<\/strong>\u00a0in academic and research environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acts as a conversation starter for the\u00a0<strong>round table discussion<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83e\uddd1\u200d\ud83e\udd1d\u200d\ud83e\uddd1&nbsp;<strong>The game may be designed by an individual or a team.
