Aim
The first objective of the project is to analyze the development of national relations between 2004 and 2016, in which it intends to exmine: development in the field of national relations, the strategy of Slovak national politics, goals and intentions of political parties depending on ethnicity, demographic development of national minorities at the beginning of the 21st century, history of national minorities, the study of historical memory with a special focus on historical events with an ethnic background (Slovak-Hungarian relations, Ruthenian-Ukrainian relations, relations of majority and minority, Gypsy issues, new minorities, migration, security…). The second aim of the project will be the realization of an interdisciplinary empirical research focusing on the theoretical, methodological and practical issues of ethnicity and national relations (with the preservation of the methodological procedures applied in the empirical research from 2004, entitled „Nation, nationalities and Ethnic Groups in the Process of Transformation of the Slovakian Society“).
