Department of Educational Psychology and Psychology of Health is mainly focused on psychological factors associated with risk behaviour of adolescents and college students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers at the department operate under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/filozoficka-fakulta\/en\/psycholab\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"PsychoLab RB (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">PsychoLab RB<\/a>&nbsp;(Psychological Lab of Risk Behavior) within which they create international safe than sorry? Our department joined the project as a voluntary partner. The main goal of the SAFE SORRY project is to understand: What leads parents to excessive involvement in the lives of their teenage children? What are the cultural, social, economic and historical contexts of excessive parental involvement of adolescents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ISPA (International School Psychology Association) \u201eGlobal perspectives on teachers\u2019 wellbeing and mental health following the COVID-19 pandemic\u201c<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/warwick.ac.uk\/fac\/soc\/ces\/research\/current\/globalteachermentalhealthcovid19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">https:\/\/warwick.ac.uk\/fac\/soc\/ces\/research\/current\/globalteachermentalhealthcovid19<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Project IMPACT-C19<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;(International and Multidimensional Perspectives on the Impact of Covid-19 across Generations) is led by prof. Radosveta Dimitrova, Stockholm university under the research initiative of the American Psychological Association (APA). The main aim of the project is to examine the impact, perceptions and experiences of Covid-19 among young people and established adults in a multidimensional and international perspective. (maria.bacikova@upjs.sk).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The international study \u201cMotivating \u2018buy in\u2019 to engage in social distancing\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>under the leadership of Prof. Nicolete Legate from the prestigious University of Illinois Institute of Technology in the United States uses experimental design to focus on ways of communication and its impact on individuals\u2019 behavior in restricting social contacts as a way to limit the spread of COVID-19. Jozef Benka, PhD. et PhD (jozef.benka@upjs.sk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The international study&nbsp;COVID-19 Multi-Country Student Well-being Study&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>has formed a consortium of 25 countries, coordinated by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uantwerpen.be\/en\/research-groups\/centre-population-family-health\/research2\/covid-19-internation\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"University of Antwerpen in Belgium (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">University of Antwerpen in Belgium<\/a>, to examine the impact of the new coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic on university students \u2013 on their lives, studies and mental health. Jozef Benka, PhD. et PhD (jozef.benka@upjs.sk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The International Sex Survey (ISS)&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>under the leadership of the Department of Psychology at the Canadian University of Montreal, covering 45 countries from all over the world, aims to: (1) validate publicly available scales that can reliably assess different sexual behaviors that may be used in future research and practice, (2) examine risk and protective factors contributing to problematic and non-problematic sexual behaviors (with special attention to compulsive behaviors and problematic pornography use), and (3) identify populations being at risk of developing problematic sexual behaviors that may be targeted in preventions and interventions.&nbsp;All original information about the survey is available&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/internationalsexsurvey.org\/\">here<\/a>. Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic), E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University (Hungary), Hacettepe University (Turkey), Lithianian University of Health Science (Lithuania), Rouen University Hospilat (France), Sofia University \u201eSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201c (Bulgaria), University of Amsterdam (Netherland), University of Antwerp (Belgium), University of Bielefeld (Germany), University of Bradford (UK), University of Bremen (Germany), University of Miskolc (Hungary), University of Sounthern Denmark (Denmark).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2011, by obtaining the agreement of the Ethics committee, our scholars were able to start cooperating on the international project called Social Norms Intervention for the Prevention of Polydrug Use (SNIPE), DPIP Project No. JUST\/2009\/DPIP\/AG\/0964.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The department is cooperating with the Department of Addictology of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and General Faculty Hospital in Prague on the APVV-0253-11 project called UNPLUGGED- Drug use among adolescents and college students. Drug use prevention based on the research data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the academic year 2009\/2010, the Department, via the international grant agency \u201cErasmus\u201d, signed research and education collaboration agreements with Masaryk University in Brno and University of South Denmark in Esbjerg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The academic staff of the department serves regularly in the peer- review process of articles in current content journals and other indexed journals, conference abstracts and contributions, as well as national scientific research projects.
