It provides undergraduate education in General Medicine and Dentistry in both Slovak- and English-language study programmes. Teaching combines a strong theoretical foundation with hands-on clinical training, allowing students to acquire practical skills in the diagnosis and management of internal diseases under the supervision of experienced academic physicians.<br>Doctoral (PhD) education is an integral part of the department&#8217;s academic mission. PhD students actively participate in national and international research projects, publish their findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and present their work at national and international scientific conferences. The department offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including specialized hepatology and gastroenterology clinics, and operates a modern digestive endoscopy unit.<br>The department performs the full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including advanced interventional techniques such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and SpyGlass\u2122 cholangioscopy.
