{"id":59380,"date":"2020-02-06T11:31:40","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T11:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/lekarska-fakulta\/ustav\/anatomy\/research\/"},"modified":"2025-03-24T11:18:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T10:18:45","slug":"research","status":"publish","type":"cpt_ustav","link":"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/lekarska-fakulta\/en\/department\/anatomy\/research\/","title":{"rendered":"Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Research is focused on the following research areas:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To study the occurrence of selected antioxidant enzymes in pancreatic, renal and lung tumours, with the aim of better understanding the molecular mechanisms and expression of antioxidant enzymes in differently differentiated tumours, and to determine the expression of selected antioxidant enzymes by a combination of immunohistochemical and genotyping methods.<\/li>\n<li>To study glutathione peroxidases (GPx1-8) in colorectal cancer patients and evaluate their expression by immunohistochemical methods.<\/li>\n<li>To study the expression of the antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidases in rats. To study the presence of glutathione peroxidases in oocytes, preimplantation embryos and reproductive organs and their possible influence on infertility.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic and prognostic potential of bioimpedance analysis in cancer patients.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of optimal sites for ultrasound-guided intramuscular botulinum toxin application in the treatment of muscle spasticity, including the preparation of an ultrasound atlas.<\/li>\n<li>The study of anatomical variations in humans, with findings analysed and published as case studies and series of papers.
