The Department of Medical Informatics and Simulator Medicine provides teaching of informatics in all the study programmes at Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice, Faculty of Medicine. It provides teaching of information systems intended to be used in hospitals, clinics and clinical laboratories, as well as mathematical and statistical medical data processing methods in the selected fields of study. The Center for simulator and virtual medicine<\/a> provides support for innovative teaching of medicine at the faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scientific and research activities of the Department are aimed at supporting the e-learning, telemedicine applications, employing videoconferencing technologies, development of human motion video-analysis methods, mathematical and statistical processing of experimental data, development and operation of computer network, implementation of the Academic Information System, and implementation of modern information and communication technologies in research, education, and clinical processes realized at the Faculty. The Department also renders audio, video, and photo services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final examination dates from Medical Informatics and Statistics 2<\/strong> for students of Dental Medicine<\/strong> were added to AiS2<\/a>. Students who have met all the requirements for completing the practical exercises will be able to register for the exams from 13th teaching week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons from elective course Biostatistics<\/strong> for students of General Medicine<\/strong> (during summer semester of academic year 2023\/2024) will be held in two groups on:
\u2022 Tuesday, 15:15 – 16:45<\/strong> (max. 14 students)
\u2022 Wednesday, 8:00 – 9:30<\/strong> (max. 14 students)
Teaching of the course will start in the first teaching week. All registered students are asked to confirm their interest to take in this course by 12 February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons from elective course Evidence Based Medicine <\/strong>for students of General Medicine<\/strong> (during the summer semester of academic year 2023\/2024) will be held in one group on:
\u2022 Monday, 15:15 – 16:45<\/strong> (even weeks)
Teaching of the course will start in the second teaching week, i.e. on 19 February 2024. All registered students are asked to confirm their interest to take in this course by 16 February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
