Nostrification (Recognition of high school diploma)<\/h3>\n


The Regional School Administration Office at Ko\u0161ice recognizes only elementary school, high school, or grammar school certificates.<\/p>\n

For recognition of your university study (bachelor, magister, or engineer) you have to visit a\u00a0Centre for Recognition of Diplomas (Stredisko uzn\u00e1vania dokladov o\u00a0vzdelan\u00ed) at Bratislava,\u00a0 part of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic. Procedure for applying:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Applicants have to fill in the\u00a0request form<\/strong> for Nostrification. \u00a0 (https:\/\/www.russ-ke.sk\/ziadost-o-uznanie-dokladu-o-vzdelani-upravena-adresa\/<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The applicant can be the qualification holder himself or the person with power of attorney given by the qualification holder. Document Power of attorney must be notary-certified and translated by a sworn translator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In case the applicant is not an adult (under 18 years old) the application must give his\/her legal guardian or the person with power of attorney given by the legal guardian. Again document Power of attorney must be notary-certified and translated by a sworn translator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    If the qualification holder\u00b4s legal guardian has a\u00a0different surname it is necessary to submit a\u00a0document confirming the relationship between them (such as a birth certificate, marriage list if there is a difference in the birth certificate, sometimes even a decision on divorce where the origin of the surname change is stated). The same situation if the qualification holder changes his\/her name we need confirmation that it is the same person.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Make a simple photocopy of your passport or ID<\/strong> (not a driving license<\/u>). A photocopy of the passport is also required for the legal guardian or person with power of attorney or both of them)<\/li>\n
