Its main goal is to link basic research with applied outputs and to contribute to the solution of current challenges in the field of biomedicine, environment and industrial technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dominant activity of the Centre is the implementation of excellent basic research in the fields of <strong>protein engineering, nanomedicine, bioenergetics and environmental sciences<\/strong>. These research directions are followed by the development of innovative technologies for the <strong>diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases, monitoring and environmental protection<\/strong>, as well as the application of scientific knowledge in practice and its commercialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CIB also creates a strong bridge between academia and industry by supporting technology transfer, spin-off companies and cooperation with the business sector.
