The symposium program offers a wide range of lectures in the field of design and controlled evolution of proteins and enzymes and the study of protein properties as well as their bio\/applications. The program creates space for the presentation of results not only for experienced scientists, but also for doctoral students and scientists at the beginning of their careers. We believe that the lectures and subsequent discussions will be of scientific benefit to all participants of the Symposium and will create the basis for new prospective collaborations in the field of
