Sucho\u017ea, participated in the National Basic Research Programme coordinated by the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the creation of grant funding schemes, the members of the Department, involved in various research projects, applied for the financing of their research by various agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department has engaged in the following research projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>APVV-0381-07 \u201cEffectiveness of Damage Liability Models for Persons with Qualified Authorization\u201c, 06\/2008- 12\/2010, principal investigator J. Mr\u00e1zov\u00e1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Several members of the Department have been honoured for their academic merits, for example JUDr. Laura R\u00f3zenfeldov\u00e1, PhD. received the Slovak Student Personality of the Year Award in 2021 in the category of Law and prof. JUDr. Jozef Sucho\u017ea, DrSc. was honoured with the Award of the Ko\u0161ice Self-Governing Region in 2021. Several members of the Department also held the positions of Dean of the Faculty (J. Sucho\u017ea) and Vice- Deans of the Faculty (R. Hu\u010dkov\u00e1, J. Hus\u00e1r, J. \u0160pirko), Vice-Rectors of the UPJ\u0160 (J. Sucho\u017ea, R. Hu\u010dkov\u00e1) or Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of the Academic Senate of the UPJ\u0160 (J. Hus\u00e1r, J. Vykro\u010dov\u00e1). The most significant scientific conference organized under the auspices of the Department of Commercial Law and Business Law has been the International symposium \u201cLaw, Business and Economics\u201c with its long-term tradition of autumn scientific conferences held regularly in the High Tatras since the first half of the 1970s, when the conference commenced in cooperation with the then CSVTS Centre. The international conference Law, Business and Economics is traditionally organized in collaboration with the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Institute of State and Law of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The conference seeks to interconnect legal theory and practice by bringing together members of the academic community, members of various legal professions, representatives of banks and representatives of public administration and civil servants.
