However, considering the fact that the disciplines of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law are closely related, the joint work of the members of the Department on interdisciplinary research projects has systematically proven to be mutually beneficial in many aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most significant research projects of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law at Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice within the VEGA, VVGS and APVV grant schemes were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>APVV-20-0076 \u201dWaste and Construction \u2013 modelling the effectiveness of alternative options for cooperation between administrative authorities\u201d, 07\/2021-06\/2024, co-worker for UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice R. Jakab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VEGA no. 3\/05 \u201dLegal aspects and features of liability of public officials in the territory of the Slovak Republic after accession to the Common European legal network\u201d, 01\/2005- 12\/2007, principal investigator J. Jakab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Several prestigious awards conferred upon the members of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law of UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assoc. Prof. JUDr. Jozef Sotol\u00e1\u0159, PhD. \u2013 Honorary Plaquette of ZMOS (The Association of Towns and Communities of Slovakia) for long-term contribution to the development of self-governance in Slovakia in 2010; \u201dMemorial medal of the Association of the Town and Communities of Slovakia\u201d on the 25<sup>th <\/sup>anniversary of local territorial self-governance in 2015<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assoc. Prof. JUDr. Ladislav Orosz, CSc. \u2013 the Award \u201dJudgment of the Year 2015\u201d conferred by the weekly magazine for economics and business Trend in 2015; the Award \u201d Judgment of the Year 2016\u201d conferred by the weekly magazine for economics and business Trend (Finding of the Constitutional court of the SR no. II. \u00daS 184\/2015 of 11.11. 2015) in 2016; the Award \u201dJudgment of the Year 2017\u201d of the weekly magazine for economics and business Trend (Finding of the Constitutional Court of the SR no. II. \u00daS 25\/2017 of 12.10. 2017) in 2017; the Award \u201dLawyer of the Year 2018\u201d in the category of \u201dCivil and Human Rights and Constitutional Rights\u201d, bestowed by the Czech Bar Association in January 2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Within their research and scientific activities, the Department regularly organizes scientific conferences and workshops related to current issues investigated in various research projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the above, the Department has been actively involved in the organization of one of the most prestigious academic events not only of local but also of national importance, the so-called \u201dConstitutional Days\u201d held annually at the anniversary of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. This annual scientific conference is convened in cooperation with the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and was first summoned in September 2012.
