The project will study the properties of these materials and their effectiveness in capturing hazardous chemicals when used as filter media in gas masks. Special attention will be given to hybrid porous composite materials (MOF@HPCM), which represent a new generation of materials with enhanced properties for applications in security, emergency response, and civil defense.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The project is led by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/en\/PF\/employee\/miroslav.almasi\/\">Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslav Alm\u00e1\u0161i, PhD.<\/a><\/strong>, whose team will focus on the synthesis and characterization of novel MOF@HPCM materials with the potential for the identification and deactivation of chemical weapon simulants. Further research activities will target post-synthetic modifications of these materials to improve their efficiency and stability. The final phase of the research will focus on the application of the developed materials under real-world conditions.
