Fundament\u00e1lne \u010dastice<\/strong> definujeme ako objekty, ktor\u00e9 nemaj\u00fa vn\u00fatorn\u00fa \u0161trukt\u00faru (aspo\u0148 tak to vidia najmodernej\u0161ie pr\u00edstroje). Medzi tak\u00e9to z\u00e1kladn\u00e9 stavebn\u00e9 prvky hmoty patria aj kvarky a glu\u00f3ny<\/strong>. Tieto \u010dastice maj\u00fa viacero zauj\u00edmav\u00fdch vlastnost\u00ed, napr. s\u00fa v\u017edy skryt\u00e9 v zlo\u017eitej\u0161\u00edch \u0161trukt\u00farach, ktor\u00e9 naz\u00fdvame hadr\u00f3ny<\/strong>. Pr\u00edkladom hadr\u00f3nov, ktor\u00e9 pozn\u00e1me, s\u00fa nukle\u00f3ny v jadre at\u00f3mu \u2013 prot\u00f3ny a neutr\u00f3ny. O pr\u00edtomnosti kvarkov a glu\u00f3nov v experimente vieme len nepriamo \u2013 ich pr\u00edtomnos\u0165 sa prejavuje v podobe ku\u017ee\u013eovitej sp\u0155\u0161ky hadr\u00f3nov (tzv. jet). Cez \u0161t\u00fadium hadr\u00f3nov v jete \u0161tudujeme vlastnosti kvarkov a glu\u00f3nov.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Experiment ALICE na Ve\u013ekom hadr\u00f3novom zr\u00e1\u017ea\u010di (LHC) v CERN vyvinul met\u00f3du ako pomocou detailn\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00fadia jetovej \u0161trukt\u00fary odhali\u0165 dr\u00e1hy pohybu p\u00f4vodn\u00fdch kvarkov a glu\u00f3nov, ktor\u00e9 sa ukr\u00fdvaj\u00fa v hadr\u00f3noch jetu<\/strong>. Te\u00f3ria predpoved\u00e1, \u017ee pre \u0165a\u017ek\u00e9 kvarky by vo vn\u00fatri jetov\u00e9ho ku\u017ee\u013ea mal by\u0165 e\u0161te jeden ku\u017ee\u013e, v r\u00e1mci ktor\u00e9ho by nemali letie\u0165 \u017eiadne hadr\u00f3ny, in\u00fdmi slovami, do tohto smeru \u0165a\u017ek\u00fd kvark glu\u00f3ny nevy\u017earuje (tzv. dead cone \u2013 m\u0155tvy ku\u017ee\u013e). Ve\u013ekos\u0165 \u00a0m\u0155tveho ku\u017ee\u013ea je dan\u00e1 hmotnos\u0165ou kvarku a tie\u017e jeho energiou. \u010c\u00edm je kvark hmotnej\u0161\u00ed, t\u00fdm je ku\u017ee\u013e (t.j. zak\u00e1zan\u00e1 oblas\u0165 pre vy\u017earovanie glu\u00f3nov) v\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00ed, a naopak, \u010d\u00edm je vy\u0161\u0161ia energia kvarku, t\u00fdm je ku\u017ee\u013e men\u0161\u00ed. Vieme, \u017ee hmotnos\u0165 kvarku sa nemen\u00ed a preto meran\u00edm jeho energie (z hadr\u00f3nov v jete) a ve\u013ekosti ku\u017ee\u013ea, m\u00f4\u017eeme priamo zmera\u0165 hmotnos\u0165 kvarku, \u010do sa doteraz<\/strong> (a\u017e na top kvark, ktor\u00fd sa nevia\u017ee do hadr\u00f3nov, lebo \u017eije pr\u00edli\u0161 kr\u00e1tko) nikomu nepodarilo.\u00a0<\/strong>
\nHmotnosti kvarkov s\u00fa ur\u010dovan\u00e9 nepriamo cez hadr\u00f3ny. Prelomov\u00fd v\u00fdsledok bol publikovan\u00fd 18. 05. 2022\u00a0v prest\u00ed\u017enom \u010dasopise Nature [1,2].<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Spoluautormi v\u00fdznamn\u00e9ho v\u00fdsledku s\u00fa aj pracovn\u00edci Katedry jadrovej a subjadrovej fyziky na \u00dastave fyzik\u00e1lnych vied Pr\u00edrodovedeckej fakulty UPJ\u0160 v Ko\u0161iciach.<\/strong> Skupina pracovn\u00edkov prispieva v experimente ALICE do anal\u00fdzy \u010dast\u00edc obsahuj\u00facich tzv. podivn\u00fd kvark. Ved\u00faci projektu doc. Marek Bombara <\/strong>sa v kolabor\u00e1cii ALICE stal pred dvoma mesiacmi koordin\u00e1torom pre fyzik\u00e1lne anal\u00fdzy spojen\u00e9 s podivn\u00fdmi \u010dasticami. Skupina je taktie\u017e zodpovedn\u00e1 za v\u00fdvoj softv\u00e9ru pre monitorovanie kvality d\u00e1t pre sp\u00fa\u0161\u0165ac\u00ed syst\u00e9m (tzv. Trigger system)<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/p>\n
