Professional profile:
Prof. Dr. Pongrác Ács is a university professor and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs, Hungary. He is also Head of the Institute of Physiotherapy and Sport Sciences. His research focuses on sports economics, health economics, physical activity, health promotion, and research methodology in health sciences. He is actively involved in international cooperation, particularly within the Visegrad (V4) region, where he leads joint research projects on physical activity patterns among youth and university students in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. He also collaborates with institutions such as the FC Barcelona Innovation Hub and leads the Physical Activity Research Group at the Szentágothai Research Centre.
