We invite you to the Open Day of the Botanical Garden of P. J. Šafárik University, which will take place from 9 am to 5 pm and to the Botanical Plant SWAP from 10 am to 3 pm.
What is SWAP? It is the exchange of plants, cuttings, seedlings and seeds of both indoor and garden plants. You can take as many plants as you bring for exchange. Many of us like to grow and propagate plants or have a plant we no longer want and this SWAP is the perfect opportunity to share the products of our gardening. Maybe you’ll even find the plant you’ve been looking for that you can’t get elsewhere!
Each visitor will receive a package of mycorrhizal fungi from our sponsor Symbiom or a sample of fertilizer from Rokosan company. This offer is valid while supplies last.
The SWAP will take place either in the gazebo or in the lobby depending on the weather. Admission to the SWAP and the Botanical Garden is free.
The SWAP takes place between 10am and 3pm and you can come and swap plants at any time during this interval.
PROGRAMME:
During the Open Day (9 a.m.–5 p.m.):
– Sale of handmade beaded brooches
– Sale of seasonal plants by the City Green Management
– Cactus Club and Citrus Club – plant sales and advice
From 10 am to 2 pm, in collaboration with Soňa Tatrajová, everyone will have an opportunity to try painting a flower using watercolour technique under professional supervision and take a nice and original souvenir home.
