We invite you to a special photography exhibition: THE NATURE OF SIVEC.
Perhaps you, too, have a place you love to return to. A place that feels like a second home to you. For the photographer FRANTIŠEK ADAMČÍK, that place is Sivec Hill and the countryside around the Ružín reservoir. He has been spending his free time in this beautiful part of Slovakia since the 1990s and has climbed to the summit over a hundred times since then. When he began to take a more active interest in photography, the natural landscape of Sivec and its surrounding forests became his studio.
This year saw the release of the photographer’s publication *Sivec and Its Surroundings Through the Lens*, which showcases the most beautiful images he has captured over more than a decade while walking through this enchanting part of Slovakia. You can view these captured moments in the book, and a selection of 30 photographs is also on display at an exhibition in the UPJŠ Botanical Garden in Košice.
As a nature lover, the author aims to use this exhibition to highlight that nature at Sivec and in its surrounding area is not only beautiful but also fragile—and that we should, therefore, value and protect it all the more.

OPENING: 6 November 2026 at 5:00 pm – the event will also include a book launch and a book sale.
