The University Library, in cooperation with Albertina icome Bratislava, has secured trial access until November 21, 2025 to the educational portal Osmosis, which is designed for medicine and health sciences.
WHAT you will find in Osmosis:
– Videos – short animated lessons on medicine;
– High-Yield Notes – concise summaries with tables and diagrams;
– Questions and quizzes – interactive tests and flashcards with explanations;
– Clinical cases – scenarios for applying knowledge in practice;
– Collections and study plans – materials sorted by subject or exam;
– Discussions – comments and knowledge exchange between users.
FEATURES for teachers:
– creating and sharing your own playlists and courses;
– assigning videos and tasks to students;
– monitoring student progress and results;
– linking to syllabi and LMS, e.g., Moodle;
– access to analytical overviews of usage;
– the ability to upload your own materials or links.
Accessible via mobile devices or via a web browser on a computer through personal accounts.
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH OSMOSIS:
– Create a personal account. When registering, use the email address assigned to you by the university, i.e., ending in @upjs.sk or @student.upjs.sk.
– Once you have created a personal account, log in to Osmosis and edit your profile so that useful information is displayed in the service.
